AngioJet Therapy

AngioJet therapy offers a new alternative for removing blood clots from the coronary arteries when a patient cannot be given medication to dissolve the clot.

The device uses a stream of saline solution to create a vacuum inside a catheter, which then pulls the blood clot back into a collecting chamber. The AngioJet therapy only takes about one minute to remove the blood clot; then other procedures can be carried out as needed to re-open the affected blood vessel.
