Transradial Cardiac Catheterization

Transradial Cardiac Catheterization

The term "transradial" simply refers to the site for insertion of the catheter used for diagnostic or treatment procedures for the heart. Transradial cardiac catheterization is just like other techniques for cardiac catheterization except that a site on the wrist is used to introduce the catheter through the radial artery instead of other sites that have historically been used, such as the femoral artery.
