Dr. Adamson joined OHHP in July of 2005. Prior to that, he founded the Congestive Heart Failure Treatment Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1998. His expertise involves the appropriate use of medical and device therapies for those with chronic heart failure. Dr. Adamson has also established new training programs for heart failure providers, which address the complexity of modern heart failure care. The program offers patients frequent follow-up to "fine-tune" medical therapies proven to improve outcomes of patients with heart failure and relies on outpatient management strategies. Dr. Adamson's expertise in prescribing and utilizing information from implanted devices will integrate well with the overall goals of excellence already established in electrophysiology and other cardiovascular services provided here at OCA. |
